Round Float Balls

Arthur Harris stainless steel round float balls have become standard equipment where strength, minimum corrodibility and maximum buoyancy are necessary. Stainless steel floats have high strength at temperatures up to 800(degree sign) F (427 C), while relatively lighter wall thicknesses may be used to produce a strong float with increased buoyancy. The more popular Harris stainless steel floats are constructed from Types 304 or 316 stainless steel; however, other types are available.

The majority of the items we produce are made to specifications. Those specs are typically sent to us in the form of blueprints. We can, however, quote you on your requirements if we have the following information made available to us:

Proven Quality Control

Dependability is the prime requisite of any metal float. Each Harris float is inspected a number of times during the manufacturing process. Finally, before packaging for shipment, each float is individually tested to ensure dependable performance. A 100% safety factor is recommended for floats used in a pressure system. For example, a float used in a 100-lb. pressure should have a minimum 200-lb collapse pressure.
