Hemispheres and Shells

Arthur Harris & Co. offers a multitude of different stainless steel hemispheres and shells to be assembled together in order to manufacture floats. These shells are made to meet your specifications depending on your specific needs. We have listed some of the more common shells offered in this section, but the possibilities don’t stop there!

We provide a wide assortment of different shells ranging from 1 ¼” up to 14” in diameter depending on your particular end use of the finished float.  Another aspect of our shells available for you to select is the wall thickness (or gauge).  The wall thickness (or gauge) of the shells varies anywhere from our thickest 11 gauge down to our thinnest 26 gauge allowing our customers’ options depending on the specific working requirements of the fully assembled stainless steel float.

The majority of our shells offered are either 304 or 316L grade stainless steel. Although these are our most commonly utilized materials, we can also offer high nickel alloy or other specialty metal shells upon request.
